Concerning the early Church
Concerning the Early Church
By: Pastor Jonathan Williams
It is an absolute fact that the level of dedication of the earliest Christians seems far superior, or at least on the surface. This is quite clear what with every little detail of their service to Our Father YHWH. Being that Christ had literally walked the earth within their lifetimes, the early "Soldiers for Christ" were of the utmost purity as is shown in historical documentation. Though the occassional argument may have interrupted the serenity of knowing the Truth, the Christian Israelites were treating their Faith as they should, with honor and defense. As a Christian we have not only Laws of YHWH to follow, but we have obligations to uphold. Honoring the very sacraments that we have carried throughout the age of Christendom, and throughout the ages previous are paramount in our mission. This struggle unending.
One must as well understand that Christ's original "Disciples" were so dedicated that their fates were not exactly to be desired, and all for the fact of preaching and spreading the Gospel of Christ. Further solidifying that we are, as His chosen people, to be in His service even under the heaviest of pressure, in any circumstance.
2Titus 3:12 Yea, and all that would live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? So we can see that the call and cause for the persecution we face could very well be considered justified, let alone the fact that Christ suffered enormous amounts of pain and anguish all for our Salvation, yet we make it clear much of the time that we just can't handle the dedication that it takes to uphold His statutes. This becomes repetitive. And perhaps one of the most trying aspects of defense of our Faith is dealing with those who are the same in outward appearance, but hold no Spirituality. This being a void many get sucked into, by trying to assist the weak in Spirit who refuse to help themselves. No matter the cost, we as Christians can no longer afford to hold onto these carnal traditions the Jews bastardized and threw on our heads. The Laws were NEVER followed through Judaism, so this is far from the subject at hand, we need to be concerned with existance of defense, and recognition of perpetual understanding. An Israelite deserves to know the Truths of their lineage.
Furthermore, as we move along, we find that the peril facing modern day Israelites differs little from their past, if only substituting one rotten indecency for another projected in our direction by the Beast. In times past, the Jews would readily strike out at Christians and turn them over to bloodthirsty heathens as slaves, all the while the Jews laying claim that is was their people who suffered these travesties. For their true plight is yet to come, and the funny thing is, they know it. Denial is dangerous as well as stupid.
Right thinking Christians want nothing more than to serve YHWH and to fulfill our mission allotted to us by Him. A vast part of this is to serve with full inclusion, with all of yourself. Any part of you that doesn't become fully dedicated to Christ is serving evil, thereby canceling out the good that may exist. This is Scriptural as you see here:
Rev 3:16 So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth.A small child could read the above verse and begin to understand at least the content of the initial message, but what is underlying concerns matters of the utmost importance and can be clearly understood by the Israelite man or woman.
A good place to start as well would be studying the "power of the blood" and bloodlines. These things are stellar in importance as they are hand in hand with the understanding the early Church had concerning their duties and rights.
1Peter 1:13 Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober and set your hope perfectly on the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 1Peter 1:14 as children of obedience, not fashioning yourselves according to your former lusts in [the time of] your ignorance: 1Peter 1:15 but like as he who called you is holy, be ye yourselves also holy in all manner of living; 1Peter 1:16 because it is written, Ye shall be holy; for I am holy. 1Peter 1:17 And if ye call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to each man's work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear: 1Peter 1:18 knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers; 1Peter 1:19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, [even the blood] of Christ:Then go and search these below:
Revelation 7:14 And I say unto him, My lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they that come of the great tribulation, and they washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels [going forth] to war with the dragon; and the dragon warred and his angels; Rev 12:8 And they prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven. Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he that is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him. Rev 12:10 And I heard a great voice in heaven, saying, Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accuseth them before our God day and night. Rev 12:11 And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto death. And by reading the below verses you will find even further examples of the Church's dedication in the early years of Christendom, and possibly be enlightened on the direction YHWH is calling for His children to go in now.
Acts 9:31 So the church throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria had peace, being edified; and, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, was multiplied. So in ACTS 9:31 above we read that the early Church walked steadfast or "in fear of YHWH" therefore multiplying under an obvious blessing. The areas spoken of were crucial as well, being that they offered little security to Christians of the day, what with the Jews seeking their destruction, and the pagans at the time were reeling to assist the Jews in that task. Look again below as Christians are shown who sacrificed of themself. This verse also refutes very clearly the foolish anti-Oneness doctrines floating around.
Act 20:28 Take heed unto yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit hath made you bishops, to feed the church of the Lord (YHWH) which he purchased with his own blood. Here below ae some more verses to take notice of how the Israelites are to conduct themselves in advance of the Mosaic teachings they are already bound to follow:
1Corinthians 14:4 He that speaketh in a tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. 1Corinthians 14:34 let the women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but let them be in subjection, as also saith the law. 1Corinthians 14:35 And if they would learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home: for it is shameful for a woman to speak in the church. 1Corinthians 14:36 What? was it from you that the word of God went forth? or came it unto you alone? 1Corinthians 14:37 If any man thinketh himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him take knowledge of the things which I write unto you, that they are the commandment of the Lord. 1Corinthians 14:38 But if any man is ignorant, let him be ignorant. 1Corinthians 14:39 Wherefore, my brethren, desire earnestly to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. 1Corinthians 14:40 But let all things be done decently and in order.
Then the final of these notes I wish to cover today is purely of concerning the original "Disciples" of Christ. The twelve commonly spoken of.
It can be said, and must be known that none of them recanted their beliefs, not a one. Even when faced with the certainty of horrible death, their enlightenment received through Christ caused them to hold their ground until their end. And this is the real triumph if any in this life, the "overcoming" that is. A stronger, more observant side of every individual exits, but can be used accordingly if allowed via resources available.
1Corinthians 14:40 But let all things be done decently and in order.
YHWH Bless!!!
